Though the program is relatively new, we are very excited to report that we are hearing great things from PAs who have earned a CAQ including pay increases, expansion of roles and privileges, and professional recognition. An article published last month by NCCPA Board member James D. Cannon, DHA, PA-C presents some impressive findings from the recent survey of 2011 CAQ recipients.

For example, 51% of those who sought a pay increase have been granted one or expect one soon, 69% of those who wanted a new job have found one or anticipate finding one, 60% who have sought an expansion of their role now have or expect to soon have increased or more complex responsibilities, and 46% have experienced greater respect or acceptance from new patients.
