Rachel Head, PA-S

Treasurer/Student Member at Large for Daemen College

Throughout high school and college, I have strived to take on roles that help me to become a well rounded and well connected student; my work with Students Without Borders has increased my communication skills as I have had to work with preceptors and students alike to organize travel and involvement. More recently I have had an interest in being a better advocate for the PA profession and PA students as I am hoping to increase my role in NYSSPA and strengthen to relationship between WNYPAA and NYSSPA.

Rebecca Buttaccio PA-C

Laura Debacco

Laura DeBacco-Malysza, PA-C graduated from Niagara University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and holds a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College.  She as well currently serves as an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor for Daemen College Physician Assistant Program.

In 2010, Laura began her career as a Physician Assistant with area OB GYN practice, Women's Medicine of Niagara and trained under the guidance of Dr.'s Renee Baughman and Donna Feldman, until 2014, when Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Laura to not only be a hospital based OB GYN Physician Assistant but also the Director of OB GYN outpatient services.  Since that time Laura has been an integral force in the expansion and day to day operations of two outpatient OB GYN offices at NFMMC and securing multiple grant funding opportunities all while maintaining full time clinical provider status.

Laura's passion and commitment for the Physician Assistant profession has led her to seek a position on WNYPAA Board of Directors.  Through her position with WNYPAA she hopes to link PAs with employers who share likeminded goals and visions, spread awareness in the healthcare community of the monetary and intangible value of Physician Assistants and support students, new graduates and other members with navigating employment opportunities

D'Youville College: Tara Kruse

I have experience with the state and national level professional organizations as a surgical technologist, and worked for a few years to get our state legislation entry to practice bill passed (in Oregon). I have seen what a dedicated group can accomplish, and also appreciate how much goes into organizing and executing efforts from legislation to education.
