Mallory Edwards, PA-C

Mallory graduated from Cleveland State University/TRI-C in 2014 earning her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies and Health Sciences. She currently works in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at Buffalo General Hospital. She works per diem positions as a hospitalist and at Roswell Park Cancer Institute Breast Surgery Clinic. She has additional experience  family practice, and emergency medicine where she started her career. In addition to WNYPAA she is involved with WNY Women's Foundation. Her goal as the WNYPAA President is to gain membership in order to expand networking for local APPs. She wants to facilitate learning opportunities within the organization for continuing education. She hopes to hold events that encourage consistent member participation to create leadership and volunteer opportunities.


Donna Anderson PA-C

Vice President

Graduate 1996 DYC program, have worked in General Surgery, CV surgery, Family Med and Peds, presently working as surgical hospitalist at Kenmore Mercy, since 2006. I am presently your NYSSPA district representative.

Katherine Sumner, PA-C

Secretary/Scholarship Coordinator

Education: 2014 Graduate of D'Youville College with Bachelor and Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies. Honors include Magna Cum Laude designation and recognition for outstanding Master's research project with clinical implications. Employment: Currently working in family practice with Limestone Primary Care . Goals as BOD member: To promote awareness of the many positive benefits of participating in WNYPAA meetings and events.

Laura Pfalzgraf, PA-C


Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish from Canisius College; Canisius College Honors Program. Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College in 2014. Worked at ECMC in hospital medicine along with the transitional care and CPEP units. Also worked at Gowanda Urgent Care and Medical Center per diem. Currently employed as a physician assistant at Gastroenterology Associates. My goal for the organization is to promote the PA profession.

Greg Czajka, PA-C

CME Coordinator

I graduated from Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital's PA program (now Hahnemann Drexel University) in 1979 and obtained my MPAS in Neurosurgery from the University of Nebraska in 2000. I am presently an Assistant Professor at Daemen College's PA program and work part time for WNY Urology. My goal as CME coordinator is to provide a useful and practical CME event for all PA's and PA students in WNY

Laura Debacco 

Reimbursement/Job Posting Coordinator

Laura DeBacco-Malysza, PA-C graduated from Niagara University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and holds a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College.  She as well currently serves as an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor for Daemen College Physician Assistant Program.  

In 2010, Laura began her career as a Physician Assistant with area OB GYN practice, Women's Medicine of Niagara and trained under the guidance of Dr.'s Renee Baughman and Donna Feldman, until 2014, when Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Laura to not only be a hospital based OB GYN Physician Assistant but also the Director of OB GYN outpatient services.  Since that time Laura has been an integral force in the expansion and day to day operations of two outpatient OB GYN offices at NFMMC and securing multiple grant funding opportunities all while maintaining full time clinical provider status.

Laura's passion and commitment for the Physician Assistant profession has led her to seek a position on WNYPAA Board of Directors.  Through her position with WNYPAA she hopes to link PAs with employers who share likeminded goals and visions, spread awareness in the healthcare community of the monetary and intangible value of Physician Assistants and support students, new graduates and other members with navigating employment opportunities

Graduate from Buffalo State College 2007 with BS in Nutrition/Dietetics.

Graduate from D'Youville College 2012 with BS/MS in Physician Assistant.
Employment: Family Choice of New York, geriatric medicine.
Goal: Increase student interest and membership in WNYPAA.

Danielle Johnston, PA-C

Danielle graduated Magna Cum Laude from Daemen College in 2010 earning her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She currently works at the Dermatologic Center for Excellence in Clarence, NY. Her goal as a WNYPAA Board Member is to increase membership in order to expand the networking opportunities within the organization. She also seeks to grow the influence of the Physician Assistant profession in the Western New York medical community.


Sue Nichter, PA-C

Member at Large

Graduate from DYC PA program in 2001. Previously worked Family Medicine but for the past 9 years have specialized in Neurology at Buffalo Medical Group. Also serve on the Board of Directors for the National Parkinson's Foundation WNY Chapter. My goal for the organization is to increase membership and meeting attendance.



Virginia M. Kaufman PA-C, WCC

Member at Large, Past President 2012-2016
Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the State University at Buffalo 2009, Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College 2012. She currently works at the Buffalo Veterans Association in Primary Care  and does wound care consulting for Absolut Care Nursing & Rehab and Premiere Genesee Nursing & Rehab.  Her goal as a board member at large of WNYPAA is to promote networking and educational opportunities for PA's and PA students.
